“chuffed doesnt mean what you think it means”

image

it means exactly what i think it means its just some stupid word that literally has two definitions that mean the opposite thing

all of you go to hell

And you wonder why i am boggled at times

These are called contronyms! A word that is its own opposite.

Why the fuck do these exist

One theory is that the sarcastic use of the word became exceedingly prevalent and because another dictionary definition.

Are you telling me that we were such sarcastic shits it literally changed our language.

Literally is another example now.

So if you can’t see the images, here’s what each of the words and their descriptions are.

Chuffed: either “delighted; pleased; satisfied” or “annoyed; displeased, disgruntled”.
Egregious: either “outstandingly bad; shocking” or “remarkably good”.
Nonplussed: of a person, either “surprised and confused so much that they are unsure how to react” or “unperturbed”.
Perused: to look at or read something either “in an informal or relaxed way” or “in a very careful way”.

growing up on this site sucked so deeply

can i get a hell yeah for my mentally ill/lgbt kids who turned to this site at a very young age because we saw it as an outlet to express everything we were conditioned not to express in real life and then subsequently got exposed to so much unhealthy shit

fyi there is no such thing as “getting back on track” after the holidays because you were never “off track” you were simply living life because you are a human being and you deserve that
